About Le Canard

Odette Breijinck
The thriving power behind Le Canard is drs. Odette Breijinck. Since the moment she graduated (1988) in “History of Art, Newer Times” at the Free University of Amsterdam she has been active as a teacher. She has proven to several organizations to be an enthusiastic and well skilled person. Among her employers are: Volksuniversiteiten, Vrije Akademies, de Nederlandse Vereniging van Huisvrouwen and the NIVON.
Recently she decided to extend her activities and focus on personal guidance at the museum. Favorably she works with groups of friends and family, but also with business people or their guests. Her field is Amsterdam, the sparkling historic city which offers a lot of special museums. But the architecture of Amsterdam has her eye as well and is worthy of a closer look. From the old houses to the enclosed garden houses, the new area IJburg or the architectural area built in the 1910/1920 can be visited.
As a residential of Almere she is aware of the fast developments in this Young city. Recreational walks in different areas are therefore present in the program of Le Canard.
